I wish more people would tell me they love me

One of my friends told me she loved me the other week, and that was the only time anyone has said that to me in person in at least 10 years (probably a lot more). I know she means it as a friend (she's explicitly said she's not attracted to me in the past so it's pretty clear), but it was nice to hear, especially in person. I wish I could hear it more as I don't generally think anyone really likes me that much overall, and this proves that notion incorrect.

Given the friend who said it is the one who hugs me too, that does start looking like a pattern 🤔 I don't think it's that deep though.
