What do you do when you’re in love with someone you can’t have?

You mean can't stay with them or it's just unrequited?

If i couldn't stay with them but the feelings were reciprocal that would make me happy and sad at the same time cause I'd love being with them but just would accept it and focus on other things so my life isn't consumed by feelings, and wish them well and keep in touch with them if posible 🥰 I'd want them to be in my life if that's what they want ofc otherwise there's no point


And if it's unrequited, I would stop loving them (in the case I developed strong feelings for someone that didn't feel the same way for me, it hasn't really happened to me) cause for me if it's not reciprocal it's nothing. And again, focus on my life.

I stay with the person and care about whenever I am needed. But I would keep quiet about my feelings.

Hijack him to my fantasies and make the best of it. Other than that, wait until it passes, it usually does.

Avoid them, apparently it gets easier eventually.

It's very difficult. Distance and time are the only things that works for me, from experience. Just have to cope with it I guess. It seems like pretty-much everyone goes through this at one time or other in life, some more often than others, sadly.

Wait who tells me who I'm allowed to be in love with? It's a free country I do what I want.

I think my brain is in sync with my heart. I don't seem to develop feelings for someone I can't have.

I'd say that when you truly love someone you would be okay with that person no longer being in your life. Because you love them no matter what. My first true love could no longer speak to me because of his new girlfriend at the time (now wife) is very jealous. She doesn't allow him female friends. I miss the person I used to know and love and just have to be okay with it and hope he is happy.

I let my heart ache, and wait

Cry.

Then look elsewhere (only to be in the same situation again).

Find out if she's got a sister

If we could hold a heart, feels it's tenderness, or sometimes jadedness wouldn't it be beautiful? We could really get to know them and understand their feelings.

I think I rather like loving someone I can’t have. They get to stay all good forever. The ache eventually fades though, and he just becomes a comforting daydream.
