What do you do when you’re in love with someone you can’t have?

Because how can I be happy when I built my happiness on the unhappiness of the person I‘m loving?

That would be selfish.

True love should focus always on the happiness on the person(s) we are loving.

We are lucky when we receive the love back. And when we don‘t receive ist back… Well, that‘s destiny and we should not fight against that.
