I just remembered something...weird

Back then grown ass men used to tell me how beautiful i am and how they'll kidnap and marry me.
I heard this since i was 4 from multiple men my parents knew.And of course it was a compliment back then.
I wonder if it really was a weird compliment at the time or it was self reportng🫣

From my childhood until now, hearing grown men "joke" that way to young girls has always yucked me out.

On the reverse side, I remember when I was 5ish being made terrifically uncomfortable when a man at a gathering asked me loudly if I thought his wife was pretty. I remember squirming, all eyes on me, as I tried to make sense of the position he'd put me in and why everyone was waiting expectantly for me to pull a grown-up's answer from my kindergarten boy's mind.

@grampup i hate that. Married men with kids often try to pick me up with their kids🤦‍♀️and most of the times they do the "isn't she pretty?" Or "look a princess!"😩so gross
