My biography of John Olinger? I'm on page 2136 and he's 6 years old. He's a fascinating character!

Came close a couple of times... I like to read other books in the genre I want to write in. Kept coming across other stories that were far too similar to what I wrote, for me to want to get it published... I kind of want to be the origin of an original idea.

@Thevy29 I'm a big fan of dystopian world/survival stories and watch any films in that genre. I think almost every aspect of it has been covered but the films/tv series still keep getting churned out and the quality of many are just crap or have an aspect that makes them too ridiculous*. I'm going down the road of it may not be 100% original (not stolen ideas just previously used) but it won't be stupid and it'll be better than the rest (at least IMO).
* The times I've watched an individual charge into an army of zombies and come out unscathed - I've got to repeat 'stupid'.
Tl;DR- Make your story the best.
