I wear shoes myself, but when my boyfriend and I are out shopping together he's always barefoot.

Most stores require customers to wear shoes inside the store. When I was a teen I wore flip-flops in the summer and we went to town and my flip-flop broke and I walked around in a store with no shoes, it was awkward for me. And I had to hot-foot it across the parking lot on the hot pavement.

I shop barefoot all the time. Yesterday, I went to get a bite to eat at a fast food place, then Lowe's, then the grocery store. All barefoot. I haven't been stopped in years. There are NO laws against going barefoot. Individual stores can make their own rules, and I can shop wherever I want. 👣

It's a health and safety thing in businesses, they don't have to bend to barefoot fetishes.

We only run into that shit maybe once in a hundred shopping trips -- or less.
It's only very rarely an issue. Most places really don't care at all.

I've been barefoot inside a number of stores and with Target as the only exception, I haven't had any hassles.

What are you? A hobbit or something?

I was staying at a hotel once and needed something at the drugstore across the street. I didn't feel like putting on shoes, so I just walked over there barefoot. They asked me to leave as soon as someone noticed. It may be an insurance thing where if I'd injured myself, they would have been held responsible for letting me in.

Dirt everywhere.

nope. I wear footwear at all times when out shopping. Who knows what filth you will walk on and seeing people walk around bare feet with their feet all black is foul
