Have You Heard About The Latest Tik Tok Trend?

Break into a Kia and steal it, take it on a joyride and then destroy it. Film the whole thing and post on Tik Tok. Happened to a car in my city belonging to a woman. Said it will take up to 99 days to get repaired due to supply line issues. She needs a vehicle to get to her job.

Trump warned tik tok should be banned in the US.
We just keep seeing Trump was right, over and over
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@Virgo79 He accurately predicted Europe's energy crisis 5 years ago, and they laughed at him...

wonder if they'll still be laughing this winter? 🤔
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@wildbill83 oh i know, just some don't or dont remember
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@Virgo79 tiktok isn't to blame , any social media can be used for that
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
Tiktok needs to be shut down. These challenges are getting more and more ridiculous.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SubstantialKick It’s based in China isn’t it? that alone says a lot about who is promoting these trends. The videos of any challenge to do something illegal need to be banned.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
Why is it whenever I hear the new trend off tiktok it's always something stupid or illegal?

Seems you'll need to sacrifice your brain cells to get popular over there

@caPnAhab, @cherokeepatti

When someone asks me if I've seen the latest this or that on TikTok, I always tell them if they're ok with the Chinese Communist Party spying on their information, then that's cool - go ahead. I usually get strange deer-in-the-headlights looks.

"A majority of Americans support removing TikTok from app stores in the U.S. after it was revealed that the company shares Americans’ user data with the Chinese Communist Party...Cybersecurity experts have long warned that TikTok, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, has the ability to collect users’ personal data and share it with the CCP, which maintains a tight grip over most major businesses in China."*

@PatKirby Same with Facebook. China has bot farms and they post stuff to social media to sway opinions etc.

@cherokeepatti

A good friend of mine always laughs and tries to send me some TikTok whatever - always forgetting I told him long ago never to send me those anymore. Constantly forgets as if the "happy joy" feeling he gets makes it okay, or any different.

Somebody somewhere in a chinese communist coven is digitally salivating over them pickin's.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
1 - Why are people using CCP social media to begin with?

2 - Their app is among the most insecure, most invasive on the planet, which even goes so far as to keylog user data

3 - Therefore, anyone who uses it is obviously stupid beyond belief and should be considered a threat to society...

@wildbill83

Just goes to show how well the marketing campaign works. Even standing too close to someone who has TikTok on their phone can affect your phone. I know of some people who even log onto their bank on their phone thinking they're 'safe', big no-no. Know of two social workers at a previous job in IT who were phish-scammed out of $1,500 from their bank accounts for logging into their bank at work. Never saw their cash again. I don't want to call these people stupid, but hey you get what you deserve I suppose.
joe438 · 61-69, M
That's pretty sucky. I hope they throw the book at the kids if they get caught.
CestManan · 46-50, F
I think what MAY have triggered that is at one point dealers had a commercial on the radio that said, "Mama Mia, steal a Kia." Wild speculation.

WHY people film and post their crimes though is beyond me.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CestManan Hope their young asses get arrested by posting that crap.
GunFinger · F
TikTok kills a lot of people.
Tminus6453 · M
@GunFinger Not enough
PatKirby · M
@GunFinger

TikTok doesn't kill people, the Chinese Communist Party does. Just ask the Uyghers and Tibetans.
Ozuye502 · 36-40, M
Yes provide all the evidence to commit a fellony so law enforcement doesn't have to make a case.
Her car insurance should cover her for a rental for the first 30 days. But thats an insane repair time. 100 days? Id be digging through scrap yards to make the process faster you use is good as new at this point.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Ozuye502 Not all insurance policies provide that. Some do though.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
These kids are so lost.

@MrAboo probably never worked for anything their entire lives and nobody taught them anything at home. They are craving attention.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti hadn’t looked at it like that. Sad they’re seeking attention in that manner.
