What is one object you would love to own right now?

object as in not something huge.

For me it's an ancient book, The "Shams al-Ma'arif". Written over 800 years ago by a Sufi Muslim scholar. It is said to be dangerous to even look upon, let alone use, but also to contain great and hidden secrets.

A dishwasher. Hooked up, of course. OR a washing machine.

@4meAndyou Fair enough, thats certainly a more manageable one, and also a nice convenience
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
A storm cellar, big enough to have shelves on one side to store foods.

@cherokeepatti Seems a better idea by the day recently

@Axelerator It sure does

@zonavar68 🤗
Axelerator · 31-35, M
@zonavar68 I wouldn't see it as an object, but that is a genuine want, so we'll let it pass. I hope get that either way

Not huge... Surely an ancient ring with a khepra scarab on it. Super cool! My friends say I'm crazy,

Otherwise if I had a decent house to put them, I'd love some painting from artists that I like...
Axelerator · 31-35, M
@Sharky86 Ooh that does sound very cool. Ah well most people would agree with your friends prolly, but it doesn't make it any less cool:)
Axelerator · 31-35, M
@Nimbus that is sexy for sure l, I see why you'd want it
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Nimbus 😆nice bit of machinery nimby
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
Oh isn't it a grimoire? If I remember correctly. Isn't this kind of stuff hidden in the Vatican archives lol.
Axelerator · 31-35, M
@assemblingaknob You're correct, it's very much a grimoire. Yes i wouldn't be surprised if they had some copy as well. It's obviously exceedingly rare. The book has literally been banned from any islamic country ever since it was written.

"An American Girl" by Gerald Laing.

@Fluffybull I've never seen that sculpture before, how long have you wanted to own it then?
Fluffybull · F
@Axelerator Since 1994 when I lived in Inverness, Scotland and she was on display in the Museum and Art Gallery and I'd go on whenever I was in the town centre.

@SW-User hmm well I agree with us being exceptionally rare, and that it is mind bogglingly amazing that we even exist.
Even so a book filled with arcane and esoteric principles can have great value to the right person also.
A thing that perhaps helps unveil the fabric of reality and expand our understanding of what came before us, is of exceptional value to me and others anyway.

@SW-User Just because it is outside your scope doesn’t make it supernatural, simply esoteric

@Stereoguy I'm not sure. Probably sell since Art is so high right now.
