I had a guy PM me last night with the same kind of profile as you described and asked if I could talk. I asked have you read my about me section yet? And he sent me a picture of a woman as a reply. I said, okay? then he asked me if I thought she was cute. I told him that is between her and him, and I am not interested that I was logging off and going to bed.
This morning, I see a reply of Ok from him. Then I wrote to him that I was not interested with his conversation. That I come here to read and reply and to post about the things and people that interest me, good luck and I am not interested in the conversation at all.
People come to sites for different reasons, but I took this site as self-expression of yourself, things you like and do, things you have done and will or want to do. Some feel it is their sexual outlet or political or religious Podium to stand on, or self-pity platform all of which I avoid.
I even had women with profiles like you stated to PM me asking me if I was looking for a soulmate. Those annoy me because this to me is not a dating site. Then they ask for a picture of me and I say look at me profile picture that is me, and then the whole rabbit hole of that is a woman not you and all that shit starts.
So, I just explore once or twice and either ignore or block the person.
