I doubt they would have been happier. Scolding and correcting you is a parent's responsibility. Being your friend is not. But it needs to be done in a loving manner. Not with contempt or hatred. A child is usually not a real part of serious problems. Hang in there and try your best. That's all that can ever be expected of you.
