I left a seasonal job

It was the worst decision ever. I wanted a permanent job and got a job with another factory but this one is messed up. I needed a job so I can go back to school for something and this one isn't working out. But I had a sweet job last time, it was physical factory work but air conditioning, can wear what I want, breaks were longer, can listen to music or audio books, they didn't care at all. Strict on metrics though.

This factory is nine minute breaks only and that's even with the union, apparently it's because of the union that we even get these breaks at all. Plus the regular lunch but if you're a minute late they come at you like thugs LMAO.

First chance I'm going. I even applied back at the seasonal job but I don't think they'll call me back. I was a good worker when I was there but did a no call no show as I started my new job this week.

Let me tell you, ug biggest mistake ever.

@SatanBurger i took on an apprenticeship in engineering when i left school that i knew was a mistake and not for me . i was right and i was not cut out for it and forced too resign after only six weeks

@smiler2012 I know what that would be like working in various factories, I wouldn't want that. It's the HR and all the rules, short breaks, hot 🔥 and overly strict I don't like. That would kill it for me

I'm not very sober atm, but TheLordOfHell told me you're good people, so I wanna be friends. Whatever happened at the job, I hope you're better off without it. Good things will come. I guarantee it.

@SW-User Okay I'll add you for sure 😊 he's a good friend to me also. Appreciate the wishes.

Amazon sort centers pay pretty good. But you gotta apply for part-time, or else they'll send you to an Fulfillment center. Once you're in wait for full time opportunity to come up. It's night and day how you're treated. Nobody is pestering you about rates and shit. You can just zone out and work at your own pace

@Rolexeo Amazon is really hard to get a job at over here but I'll consider it if I see an opening. I also don't like the five day work week too. It's annoying but I also think Amazon might not be too bad

IDK I'm sure you can find something similar. I joined a temp agency that had tons of factory jobs.

@StygianKohlrabi All the factories are sweat shops over here. That last seasonal factory was decent but it was long hours too. Just that listening to an audio book made time go by faster

@SatanBurger aww. I did some factory labor jobs in the Midwest. IDK where you're from but you can msg me if you want to know more... I also worked at Amazon. they actually make you work there.

How many times do I have to tell you? You're supposed to learn from other people's mistakes, because you won't have time to make all of your own.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SatanBurger I'm glad.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LordShadowfire It's actually good advice lol

@SatanBurger Some of the best advice comes disguised as a joke. You laugh, and then you think.
