I sound like a brat here, but please hear me out. This isn't he first time my family bieng this way. How can i trust someone when i can't even trust my family i hate them

@Fushi Other people are not your parents.
Trust comes from peoples actions. If your friends do as they say they will, do not lie or steal from you, do not use you then you can trust them until or unless they break that trust.
@Fushi I know you want to trust your family. Society leads us to believe that's how we should behave. But you seen their pattern. You have to trust yourself that you know how they will act. Trust yourself more now. I think if you do that, you'll be better.

You are not the bad one in this.
Your parents showed their true colours by not keeping their promise to you.
They are trying to cover their inadequacies by deflecting onto you.
Try not to take the bait. Brush it off and move on.
In the future if your parents promise you something. respond with "Thank you, that will be very nice"
Do not get over excited, if they keep their promise, that would be good, if not, brush it off and take future promises with skepticism though do not show it.
Life is full of disappointments and it is how we handle those setbacks that build our character.
There are countless stories of people winning the lottery and then destroying themselves.

I don't know how your parents got a lot of money but it sounds like that's pretty much what they did. They destroyed themselves by spending all their money in one day and breaking a promise they made to their daughter.

You're right to be angry.

I'm sorry you went through this and can't feel safe near your family or trust them. Do you have any friends or the school counselor you could maybe chat with? You deserve to be valid and heard! My inbox is open if you need a chat or vent. :) Hang in there!

Time to move out
Fushi · 22-25, F
@plungesponge yup i just need to. But i don't think i can give the same amount of respect and trust i given my parents before. It's just that i need them to survive and live despite the toxic they've caused me.
