The Marburg Virus.

I don't know why African people eat bushmeat because it could be out of poverty but if it isn't out of poverty then I'm irritated and stop it. The article did mention for African people to stop eating bushmeat so I assume they can stop. So far all the major plague outbreaks like ebola have been because people like eating exotic wild species and they don't know how to butcher an animal properly so they get blood transmission and stuff... for some reason. Get the hint you fvcking morons.

I'm tired of this bush eating trend.

It says to stop the spread that people in Africa should avoid eating bushmeat. So stop.

If I recall correctly Marburg virus appeared to be a strain of Ebola that could be transmitted through the air. I think it appeared once in a facility where research monkeys were kept in separate cells, and it the infection seemed to travel. But it only appeared once that we know of. I think I read about it in a book called "The Hot Zone."

@ElwoodBlues I wish there were more affordable ways than animals because I don't like that. They tested radiation on human beings and have used them as lab rats without their consent.
@SatanBurger You've probably heaerd about the famous Stanford Prison Experiment from 1971, run by a psych prof. Because things got so brutal there, all schools and other institutions started putting strict controls on any sort of experiment involving people - even passing out questionnaires. An "Institutional Review Board" has to review every "experiment," psych, sociology, medical, whatever.

Anyway, we need something strict like that for animal experiments. I'll bet universities have something; I don't know about pharmas and makers of "beauty products" though.

@ElwoodBlues Yeah I don't know, I heard about how they were opening up dog brains while they were alive and pouring something in their brain. I forgot what it was but it was something like rabies. Instead of review boards they more likely have papers that employees sign that they'll likely go to prison if they speak out.

bushmeat is often the only meat some can get
but MORE it is a high value commodity to sell,
stoping it is unlikely until there are no more animals to eat
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@SatyrService There's going to be no more animals if Africa keeps creating things like the ebola virus lol, no humans left to eat the meat lol, they'll all be dead.
@SatanBurger marburg and ebola are so deadly it is hard for them to travel. once infected, the disease sets in fast. rendering travel impossible

real hardship is difficult to comprehend
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@Ingwe I'm not blaming them for hardship so don't really know where you get that but surely there's another way. There's a specific reason certain species spread certain viruses that happen to be way more deadly than anything we've seen. I mean we have things like the swine flu but for some odd reason just monkeys and bats seem to have the viruses that can realistically kill us all.

Bats are cute I'm just saying that maybe we should take a hint right?
Send them some cold cuts.............that will help them quit I'm sure.

@anythingoes477 Bush meat is called bush meat because it's often unidentifiable not because it feeds tribals hunting the bush. Most bush meat problems come from this fact as the meat is hacked up carelessly and kept in open markets, sometimes for several days. Any tribesmen gathering said meat is more likely selling it because they'd treat their own food better.

@Jackaloftheazuresand Oh yeah good point, I remember hearing something similar to what you said. You do have to go to school for butchery to even sell animals in all parts of the world, probably for a reason.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@SatanBurger Yeah certainly it's not the best cut but it's not the chopping that's the big concern, at least not by the butcher. When I first learned of bush meat it was in regards to Asian bush meat and what often happened is they'd sell forest rodents as other animals or they'd find the lower half of an animal because they left their trap too long so predators took advantage. Let's call it bycatch of the land
youre all asymptomatic with monkey pox.
although you are showing no signs or symptoms.
form an orderly line and get yo medicine.
dont be selfish.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Well monkey pox doesn't have the same death rate as this virus, I believe they said with the Marburg virus you bleed from the eyes and it's highly contagious from an air standpoint.
