The Marburg Virus.

I don't know why African people eat bushmeat because it could be out of poverty but if it isn't out of poverty then I'm irritated and stop it. The article did mention for African people to stop eating bushmeat so I assume they can stop. So far all the major plague outbreaks like ebola have been because people like eating exotic wild species and they don't know how to butcher an animal properly so they get blood transmission and stuff... for some reason. Get the hint you fvcking morons.

I'm tired of this bush eating trend.

It says to stop the spread that people in Africa should avoid eating bushmeat. So stop.

@anythingoes477 There should be other options yes.
@SatanBurger What would that be? These are people who have most likely never even seen a $20 bill in their lives..........live in mud and straw huts as most bush tribes in Africa do.........and have grown up eating what they can find to hunt and gather from shrubs and bushes...including insects.........around them. Ever seen a fat bushman in Africa? They are lucky to eat everyday.........but it offends you that they eat what they can?

@anythingoes477 Well the article did warn africans to stop eating bush meat so there must be alternatives or otherwise they wouldn't say that. I don't want to stereotype to assume they do that specifically because they are poor. They could always raise a certain number of animals for food... it's just that monkeys and bats specifically breed certain kinds of viruses that end up to be plague like for some reason. You see some things in pigs and birds but I haven't heard of any ebola like plague disease where people bleed out their eyes eating them either.

@anythingoes477 Bush meat is called bush meat because it's often unidentifiable not because it feeds tribals hunting the bush. Most bush meat problems come from this fact as the meat is hacked up carelessly and kept in open markets, sometimes for several days. Any tribesmen gathering said meat is more likely selling it because they'd treat their own food better.

@Jackaloftheazuresand Oh yeah good point, I remember hearing something similar to what you said. You do have to go to school for butchery to even sell animals in all parts of the world, probably for a reason.

@SatanBurger Yeah certainly it's not the best cut but it's not the chopping that's the big concern, at least not by the butcher. When I first learned of bush meat it was in regards to Asian bush meat and what often happened is they'd sell forest rodents as other animals or they'd find the lower half of an animal because they left their trap too long so predators took advantage. Let's call it bycatch of the land
