@sunsporter1649 exactly. You understand my problem. For a hundred years up until the year of my birth Maine was heavily populated with people of common sense. Muskie started the downfall but I was removed from the state with my parents so I take no direct blame. In the 70s and 80s sanity returned then full body shivers the insanity returned. If it weren't for the independents Collins wouldn't be there. It's the independents that keeps the state from being totally mind-blowing insane.
