Every time I see old couples, I always wonder how many times they've forgiven each other.....

Stephie · 22-25, F
Forgiving each other is the cement that builds a strong relationship. Trust, forgiveness, understanding are, besides love, those elements that make a relationship worth living. You take one of those basic elements out and your relationship fails.

That's what happens most often today because people are too shallow and want everything right away. A solid relationship is built over time, years, decades and not just over a few weeks.

@Stephie So true, and perfectly said.

We dated almost 8 years, so we were in the habit of forgiving before we married. There haven't been many times when major forgiveness has been needed.
This is the biggest perk about being single. The avoidance of the fickleness.
That's easy.............EVERY TIME...........or else they'd not still be together.
