I've had a few antagonistic people in my life.
My late Grandfather's second wife, of whom he married some time after my Grandparents separated was one such person and specifically towards my Mother.
Sure, they would act civil when other people were around, but that act was only just an act.

@onrealityofdreams so I have a therapist but she planned to visit me today. I just told her not to bother. Space is what I need.

Then the "oh I'm such a terrible person, I should just keep my mouth shut!"
Years ago I would have apologised but now I say "Yes!"
Then she goes silent and or tells me she really doesn't appreciate the tone I take with her and starts finding an excuse to leave.
