Some people are like that. I have my moments too but it's significantly better than when I was younger.

Dont try to be a definition of normal. Thats just taking someone elses idea and forcing it apon yourself. Never strive to fit in.
Age doesnt mean anything. Its your knowledge and and character that define your experience.
Experiences come and go. They linger based on how much you dwell on them. Hold on to the good ones. Learn from the bad ones.
What you believe about yourself defineds how you think. How you think defines how you act. How you act defines peoples perception of you. Thier perception of you can be dictate by thier own system of beliefs and values.
Therefore, ignore the judgment of others because by thier own insecurities, thier judging themself through you.

idk if it's normal maybe larger overbearing attitudes of others in your childhood made you timid but it saves you trouble by making you adverse to people who could be trouble latter on.. you're probably more reserved because of it .. but do you feel like you are missing out by being shy?
