What you were doing in 1980's?

I wasn't even born..

ABCDEF7 · M
Playing with my neighboring friends and going to primary school. I still have few images in my mind.

I remember when we incidentally get holidays in the school and sent to my grandfather's house. I still have an image in my mind playing cricket with my brother outside my grandfather's house. Later I learned that those were the days of 1984 Sikh riots in India, and the place where we(my parent) used to live was heavily affected by the riots, so my parents shifted me & my brother to grandfather's place which was safe place. And my parents decided to stay at their own home to protect their home from being looted or burnt.

@ABCDEF7 it must be emotional for you...
80's was an era of cricket in India..India won its first world cup in 83.. And then 84 , no one can forget that year
ABCDEF7 · M
@SW-User I was a kid then, don't remember what happened. But when I listen to my parents and think, I feel today we(India) is at much better stage, and we should think of contributing our part in taking this progress further as part of our responsibility of being good citizen.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Starting my career, getting married, becoming a parent.

It was the decade of big transitions for me personally. I think that is why I simply give a blank stare when people talk about "the eighties" as a phenomenon: I just have no memory of what was "in" during that time in terms of popular culture.
SW-User
@DrWatson it was life changing decade for you..
Do you miss being young again.. The feeling when you saw your wife in wedding dress
.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@SW-User I enjoy the memories of the past, but I do not find myself wishing to be young again. I enjoy the age I am.

Junior high, high school and starting college Big thing is computers were not integrated into education as much as they are now I had one computer class in high school that would have been a joke by today's standards and I took one college course in the school of business on computers I never even had a college email address

Wow in the '80s I was drinking at the bars I worked for quite a few companies went to Reno at least six times won a bundle the first time after that I was paying interest on all the other times.

Every so often get laid then get drunk then get laid again nothing much happened other than that I mean the '80s to the '90s wow I guess David Lee Roth was accurate when he said "It was just a wet T-shirt party"
