What do you do for living? I want to do something aside from medicine

I am trying to do something different in my life. For almsot 23 yrs, all I have done is studying. At the age of 30 , I am still studying and damn Im tired of it. I am excited to explore more of the life possibilities...want to try out other aspects of work and carriers...any suggestions?

With all that studying, have you attained a bachelors, masters, or premed degree? There is a lot one can do with a degree and you just have to pick a field of work that interests you and not take a poll on other's thoughts.

@WillaKissing I am a doctor. Working through my residency in pathology. It seems like if I want to work in the US I should start the studying from the begining all over again as my certification is not accepted in US. So I want to go for a complete different field

@SW-User Ah, I understand you now. Complete your residency and while doing so see if your education will allow you to teach medicine in the US at the collegiate level say in a nursing program? I would try those routes given your extensive efforts already..

@WillaKissing hmm, I dont know. America is so picky when it comes to medicine and nursing education. An international doctor like me will probably not be eligible for such crucial roles

@SW-User You have no idea until you try, right? Look at smaller universities or colleges in the U.S. that are seeking doctors to teach their programs and work your way up to acclimation and bigger schools. You do not know until you investigate it, and not guess.

Maybe a director at a medical care facility or along those avenues too?

@WillaKissing actually I have not thought about this. But maybe u r right. I can give it a shot. Maybe I can work as an instructor in a school or a college pathology lab

@SW-User every year thousands of foreign medical graduates gain entrance to the US. Your field is one in which there is nearly always demand.
SW-User
@samueltyler2 yes but it also demands at least 6 yrs of more studying after entering the US

@SW-User that depends on what you want to specialize in, and what credit you might get.
