Well, you need to take an honest look at yourself by asking people what problem they have with you and then figure out what are valid and constructive insights you can use and what suggests people are intimidated by you.
I find most people are intimidated if you don't conform to their points of view. Be confident to be yourself. Don't be afraid of their backlash in the form of claiming to not like you. More than likely, they are jealous.
