@Jokersswild People do not care because the news is a constant flood of new ailments or some shooting. After a while it is like, "Okay whatever, just another day."
I remember in about 2009 when lupus made a cameo. Some lady I knew was horrified, of course she always thought she had whatever ailment was being pushed that month. I wonder how she handled the pandemic?

Ohh there is always some new (or old) ailment that they try to scare the population with.
When they don't have one lined up yet, they revert to type 2 diabetes.
