When does death of a close love one hit you?

@WillaKissing It does and it's because I have lost so many over the years that it becomes a numb wound

@KingofBones1 Like you I have lost so many, friends, family, parents, grandparents, my son, fellow soldiers in combat. I cannot call it a numb wound for me, but one I have learned to live/cope with though counseling at my VA hospital. And that is what kept me moving forward.

@WillaKissing Exactly.Having done my 10 years in the Marine Corps and growing up on the streets of Los Angeles and various neighborhoods, I have seen a lot of loss Strife, problems and unfortunately, early demise, let alone family members and it has taken its toll.It took me about ten years to get fairly right in the head , but I still think about them sometimes when i'm alone

Thank you for your service as well. I was dumb enough to hang for 27 years in the Army, but I loved it too.

Exactly what I say about my time.In the marines it was the best yet worst time of my life and only someone who has been there would probably understand that statement as i'm sure you do
