@Torsten I think the point that most people were trying to make is the disproportionate amount of media coverage given to this incident compared to the sinking of a vessel in the Mediterranean in the previous week with the loss of as many 600 lives, and a boat in the North Atlantic in the same week with 30 confirmed dead. Possibly due to the latter two involving 'illegal' asylum seekers rather than affluent tourists. That in my view demonstrates a serious lack of compassion.

@SunshineGirl I completely agree with the overboard media coverage this got. However, what I don't agree with is all of the shitty memes and jokes being made. Not funny to me when people die. No matter how much they had in their bank account.
