Why do you wanna forget him? Keep his memory alive… think of all the special moments you had with him. I also lost my father to cancer and I keep him always in my heart..

@Somewhereovertherainbow because thinking about him does not help my depression

@SW-User I get it, but for me, I concentrate on the good times I spent with my father, seems to help. Everyone is different… I hope your depression gets better

You can't and won't, he'll always be with you.
It's what makes you, you today.
If at all possible think of the good times he spent with you and the things he taught you. Be glad your dad was in your life to share those precious moments, not all do.
Everyone grieves diffrently for whatever length of time.
Almost lost my job during the grieving process (as told to me by a coworker).
One woman told me it took her eight years till she came to terms with her loss.
Sorry for your loss, God bless and keep you (Numbers 6:24-26)

Have you contacted a grief councilor or support group? They can really help us come to terms with a loss, especially one that still has loose ends.

{@vintagecomputerguy] this hurt shows one thing you loved him and miss him greatly and that is a natural feeling and something is keeping his memory there with you

We don't forget them. Search: Stages of grief. Grief counseling is also helpful. 👍
