Do you think about death often? When I know about someone diying that influenced my life in one way or another

I can't help it but wonder when I'll die too.
Like it can happen at any point. life seems as a very transitory thing.
Yet life feels so long sometimes when you're not feeling OK. Lately I've been feeling Okey ☺️☺️

What happens after you die though?

I try to think about it every day.

What we do is dangerous. By making sure im aware of that risk it keeps me alert and cautious.

Also, I use my inevitable death as motivation to push myself and to be authentic.

No use holding back and pretending if we all die no matter how we act or what we do.

@SW-User my job. I work really high in the air and around high voltages a lot. Also operate heavy machinery very often.

Even if it is not true, ever since I accepted the idea that it was me who volunteered to play my role in this world, I became more free from grudge feeling and I no longer feel bitter about life.
Everyone will play millions role whatever it’s choice through soul journey, meeting the same soul group of people to play various characters to each other.
When I try to believe that way, it’s getting easier to understand other peoples actions.

Oh for sure. So much that I dedicated half of my body to death, & the other half to life.

So all my tattoos on my right side, are all death related. It's my way of calling it out
SW-User
@ChiefJustWalks oh that's interesting, I have been that way too always, since I was a child, but now I try to be focused on life cause when depression hit me death seemed appealing.
Now I accept it as a natural part of life. Not I'm not afraid of myself diying, but about beloved people of mine doing it.

So what do you often think about it? And why
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@SW-User that makes sense. When you're depressed it's a dangerous thing to think about. Because you play it in your mind a lot & you never know what random moment you might say "fuck it" 🤷

I'm kinda like you in the sense that I don't fear it anymore. I accept it. & Maybe part of why I think about it so much is because I've dodged it so much in my life. I've died twice & idk why I'm still here. I feel like death is chasing me & my whole life I've just taunted it

I do. I am very familiar with death.
SW-User
@DesertFlower why you're familiar with it?
Yes, quite often, but it doesn't scare me.

As a young boy I had a few great fears, death being one one of them,
But the things that has happened me and some things that I have seen has made me certain that our spirit or soul lives when we die and realizing has made me louse those fears
Now I am not religious, I don't go to church or mas
PoeticPlay · 51-55, M
I am surrounded by death.
I am the speaker for the dead.
The one that helped them live this long.
I am the one that holds the answers to the parts of their life that no one wanted to know about.
Til now.
I am alive because of the dying.
So I must see them to the end of our life together.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I'm a philosophical sort, so I'm always thinking about life and death. Just in the past few months, two former coworkers passed away(I posted about them). I don't get too hung up on the past, at least not to the point where I cannot enjoy NOW.

I'll be 55 this month, my mom is turning 80 next year, and time is marching on. It comes with being older. but over time, I've buried my dad, my girlfriend's dad, a few friends, coworkers, and several other relatives including all four grandparents.

How can one NOT ruminate on death?
SW-User
@uncalled4 yes and cause it's inevitable and always unexpected
Kidsarentalright · 26-30, M
I think about my own death often
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Yes, I do. Especially as I am heading that way soon enough..lol I just hope when I expire that I get an answer about our existence and purpose in the universe.
SW-User
@caesar7 as you age must be even more common yes
caesar7 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Definitely....you think about it more frequently as well as to prepare for the inevitable. Wills and funeral arrangements are a must to minimalize the burden on your loved ones. I am glad it's done.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
