When people say "her body, her choice"
I just think what about the babies body
and what about Dad, brothers and sisters?
I've been personally affected by abortion.
It kicked off my depression when I was about 15.

@Matt85 I am so very sorry :( I essentially told @Pinkstarburst the same thing.

@Matt85 I'm sorry you've had to deal with that. But this shows why the whole "it shouldn't be used as birth control" thing is a non-argument. It's a difficult decision that no sane person wants to make and only does when the alternative is even worse.
And as for the family: they can choose what they do with their bodies too, as long as it doesn't affect the body of others.

@Matt85 Yeah? Well, let me ask you this, sparky. Does it piss you off when women who have a miscarriage and have dead, rotting flesh inside them are unable to find a doctor who is willing to remove it, because the medical procedure is still called an abortion? Does it piss you off that this is happening with disturbing regularity in places like Oklahoma and Ohio? Does it make you sick to your stomach to know these women are going to either be sterile or dead by the time it's over?
How about the fact that women who have miscarriages are now being investigated by the police as murder suspects? Does that piss you off? Does that make you fighting mad?
Or how about the fact that there are children, 11 years old and younger, being imprеgnated by their rаріsts, who have to go to another state to end a pregnancy that would surely kіӏӏ them, because they are too fuсking small to survive childbirth, but the state in which they live makes no exception to the law?
Because that's what pisses me off. That's what makes me so angry I see red. And if it isn't enough to make you fighting mad, then I don't want to hear your fuсking opinion.

@LordShadowfire OBVIOUSLY I am talking about the majority of cases. You are talking about the minority of cases. You haven't asked for my opinion on those cases. I hope it eases your mind a little to know that yes, in those cases, I support access to an "abortion".
Can you calm down a bit please, you are going to blow a gasket.

@Matt85 Oh, I'm sorry, Matt. I guess I shouldn't be mad when those things happen, because they only happen to some people. I forgot, it's acceptable for it to happen some of the time.. It's acceptable for some women to become sterile because they aren't allowed to have dead flash removed from their bodies. It's acceptable for some children to die during childbirth. It's acceptable for women who miscarry to be investigated as murderers, because it only happens iN a MiNoRiTy Of CaSeS.

@LordShadowfire I admire your passion, I just think some of it is displaced. Tell me now, do you support abortion for all cases?
See what the devil has done here is tried to cause an argument, by the means of our communication. I'm not biting.
It's glaringly obvious to me that he has made you angry at me by prompting you to argue the minority of cases and making you forget that I might be talking about the MAJORITY of cases. It's a scheme.
I'm sure I'd be upset too, like if I read the stories but I wasn't talking about those cases.

@Matt85 Please do not bring a fairy tale into this.

@LordShadowfire let's take a deep breath for a moment. The original question was about support for abortions, not laws regarding them or the effects of specific details. @Matt85 made it clear he doesn't take abortions lightly but does not want pregnancies to cause any harm due to bans. That's his answer. He made no comments on whether he supports the bans in their current form and he doesn't have to, because that's beyond the original topic.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@NerdyPotato I didn't hear that. I heard him say he doesn't want to talk about it because it happens in a minority of cases.

@Matt85 How were you affected by abortion? Were you pregnant and forced to have one?

@Matt85
I've been personally affected by abortion.
Depression aside, you will never be as affected as someone facing going through a nine month pregnancy and childbirth. 🥺
