No. It's not cool to harass nerds. People who do are weak and insecure. That's how that works.
I also think the people who 'support' bullies are typically very young and haven't learned yet that those young "nerds" are going to grow up and make fifty times the money that the bully does.

@Ynotisay: That's not true. Statistically, nerds doesn't earn much more than popular people. But yeah, I know that "politically correct" is kinda used this way by neocons (I'm a leftist libertarian, for that matter), but I'm using this expression in the sense of... you know... people often lie for approval. Like when they're asked if they find extremely ugly people beautiful.

People who harass others for no good reason are insecure and weak of character. The farthest one can go from cool.
Nobody actually gives a fuck about how big and bad you think you are and if you treat other people poorly then you can expect nothing better than for others to do the same to you.
That's also not at all how bullying works psychologically. By the same logic then rape must be cool because it's such a widespread problem.
