I think the reverse is true.. one's comprehensive understanding is conducive to their humbleness as a being.. imo

So you're saying humility is a place we land after gaining understanding right? My question is basically saying the same thing in a different way. The more you know the more humility should tell you that maybe you don't know as much as you think you do... That's basically what my question meant in a nutshell. But it was probably not worded as well as it could have been...
probly not ;)
No, it can help me be careful not to pass hasty judgements.

Does it shape my understanding, or does it shape what I do with my understanding. And if that's the case, then what shapes my understanding of what I know or don't know.

A similar question; As far as humility and pride are concerned, is there a place for both? Or should everything be subject to humility?

@AbleSankovik: I have enough humility to know that I don't have an absolute answer to that question. ;-) (The winky face means I'm pretty proud of that answer.)

Thanks. Maybe its alright to have pride for something, as long as it's not overbearing into others' thoughts and lives. Pride is a feeling of satisfaction from ones own accomplishments. One should feel that from their goals and accomplishments. But when it overbears other people then it becomes too much.

No. My humility is based on the knowledge that I will never know it all (which I figured out in college...prior to that I was a silly teen that felt fully enlightened.)

This question was my sneaky way to try to make people admit that they don't know it all... :-D I don't think I worded it quite right though.

Yup - and so does pride. I only hope that over time, I can make humility's role larger, and pride's role smaller.

Awesome answer. Me too.
I do not intentionally commit the moralistic fallacy, no.

Yes. It is critical to thought and emotion.
