What is something you only realized is not mandatory, when you became an adult?

Listening to any other adult.

Morals. Going by the behaviour of politicians

picking my nose or holding my weewee when i have to pee.

Behaving in public

Listening to the cops when your drunk (learned that one the hard way)

Always having firm structure and schedule like going to school/work every workday, however, times changed. When I was a kid, working from home or being an online freelancer was something unthinkable.

That you have to be polite and respectful to everyone, including those who act like complete jerks.

Being like what conventional boring people think is an adult.

It's not required to wear clothing at home when you're by yourself.

Gosh... So many things.

For some reason when I was younger, I thought all adults knew everything and we’re always right. I think I was pretty young when I thought that, but it took time for me to realize it fully. lol

Being liked by everyone. You really don’t have to explain yourself, attend every event, answer every message immediately, or keep people happy all the time. Protecting your peace is actually allowed.

Always was a rebel. Yet I didn't realize the extent until I was an adult.

It's not mandatory to follow the crowd.

Leaving anything considered fun behind.
