Yyyeah. I already clean up after them all of the time and unwillingly provide accomodations and I know these people aren't safe to be around

There are corporate buildings that cordon off or seal areas not being regularly inhabited by people. It's not worth the clean up, added risk of infestation, property damage or personal issues that come with it.
Homeless shelters are to be managed by charities or orgs willing to assume the risk and management.
Imagine it, housing a homeless person, then being blasted in the newspaper or online for alleged unsafe housing conditions? Good intentions pave the path to hell indeed!

@Bexsy people suggest it a lot because it's a heritage building and the city owns it... But we rent it from the city and are are our organization and I don't think people realize I only get paid $1000 a month, and now that I run the market I make less on my plants...

How much people are homeless for a reason they’re either mentally incapacitated drug addicts thieves they’ve used every last dying to spend on themselves and now they have nothing.

@caccoon set enough our society does nothing for homeless people. That’s why they keep kicking the candle down the road. It’s probably the worst thing our society does is let people fall by the wayside and die by the wayside. I’m pretty old and retired and can’t really do much. I can’t even protect myself so it’s left to the younger people to figure it out.

That’s a nice sentiment, but I’m not sure it’s safe. If you want to help the homeless population in your area, donating to shelters or other assistance programs would be better.

@Hotwifepdx How so? People who vote left of center want to eliminate the conditions that cause homelessness (by the very definition of political/economic left), if anything it's those who vote at right hat should live with the consequences of their own policies (including, but not limited to, more widespread homelessness).
