Have you ever made a big life change and you were scared to do it but you knew it would be the best thing for you?

What was the change and what was the outcome?

@Degbeme I’ve done it couple times. When I bit the bullet saved, quit my job and managed to put myself through college at 43, a single parent with a car payment and a kid still in daycare. I honestly don’t know how I did it, but I did.

Then packing up and moving my son and I up to the Vernon, only knowing 1 person up there and no job. It was great up there until Covid screwed everything up.

Yep.. Cowboy 🙂‍↕ I was scared because of how my previous relationship was (my ex was extremely abusive)
Now Cowboy and I are happily married and having our little baby this November and he’s the best father to my children and best husband I could ever imagine.. he quite literally spoils me rotten and I can truly be myself with him. I’ve never been afraid of him because I know he would never hurt me

@MommaBear A friendship that bloomed wonderfully.

@Degbeme if only my teenage self hadn’t been so dumb and given him the time of day then (though I also don’t regret how it all played out because I wouldn’t of had my other children if I had and I just can’t imagine my life without them)

My current job, I was very hesitant because of how it ended last time.

Becoming a father and knowing I had to change my life around to make a life for the three of us. No more being carefree and drinking myself silly.
I took voluntary redundancy from HMRC after more than twenty two years, I'd been working there since leaving school.
I got another job soon after and the following year I got a job with the NHS.
It was scary at the time, but completely the right decision.

I found a wonderful man that I knew I was about to lose because of my steadfast decision to save my virginity for "the one". Then I realized...hey stupid, he is "the one". We just had our 20th anniversary, it still feels edgy and exciting to be in his arms. I chose wisely.

Yes, I quit drinking almost 13 years ago. Now I'm totally alone except for my kids and parents. Not the outcome I was looking for.

Just over 2 years ago…separated from of wife of 22 years- divorce eminent, no job, had tried to commit suicide about a year earlier, kids wanted nothing to do w me. I knew I needed to get away from the madness of the DMV area. To somewhere slower paced. Ended up in The Northwoods area of Wisconsin. Lots of good for coming here and lots of bad…so, it’s a work in progress. Right now, it’s all good!

Moving out of my hometown, where I spent all my life. I had to move out because living there was getting too expensive. But to say that it has been the best thing for me...I don't know about that. I've lived in my new town for three years, and I would much rather go back to where I was.
