Tell him what you just told us. If he's anything like me, it will go a long way towards making peace.
SW-User
@ineedadrink we already made peace. He is an angel. But I still feel bad.

@SW-User Respect him by letting it go.

Been dealing with this for 58 years. I helps because he loves you. Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes the house doesn't have to be perfect. My wife thinks things have to be perfect when our kids and their family come over.
I reminded her that they grew up in this house and for it not the be perfect is not strange to them.
Sometimes the basement toilet doesn't get cleaned. My wife gets wound up and gets to the point where she can't function. I send her to her room to chill and when she comes back the job is done.
I dealt with high stress every day and she didn't. We handle life differently. Together we make a great team.
Sometimes the job doesn't get done. The world keeps turning.

No, you shouldn't have. You're telling him that your priorities are more important than his. Are the guests for you, for him, for the both of you? He has an obligation to help either way, but he said he would help after he did this other thing and he gave you a time expectation.

Of course, reason goes out the window when stress kicks in sometimes. It happens to everyone.

@SW-User Unfortunately, done is done. There is no putting a broken egg back together. The best you can do is try to make it up to him and try to do better in the future.
SW-User
@DunningKruger yes I did..

@SW-User That's the best any of us can do.

smileylovesgaming · 31-35, FVIP

Are there any underlying issues that may have caused you to snap
dale74 · M
@SW-User do you wanna make it better? And truly express being sorry?

If so, take a moment, have him sit down. I'm in its lap. Give him a hug and don't say a word for the first few seconds. Then, say, i'm really sorry for my behavior.
SW-User
