@CurrentName you simply can't be the person everyone wants you to be... it's impossible. I think we all at some point in our lives try to be, but it can't be done and it can make you an unhappy person.

I try to be as good a person as I can be, but I am going to be me, and yes, I am not perfect. Take it or leave it.

Sometimes the hardest looking people are the softest inside but have had to learn to be hard.
The soft looking ones are the ones I watch.
I'm a big man. Well over six foot tall. And I can dance my way around a bar fight with the best of them. But that's just a mask. Im actually soft and it took me almost an hour to get a spider out of the house cause I didn't want to kill it.

@DancingStarGoddess That's a good answer. I used to think that it would be a binary thing. They either like me or not, but reading thru the responses I've realized that is not the case. No matter how good or bad you think you are, there will always be those who like you and those who don't. No matter what. I know it sounds obvious but I'm slow sometimes catching up to some things. Or if they could see the things that cause me to feel shame about myself they wouldn't like me.

I understand that. I think I didn't express myself right. I understand the difference. But in the mind of the person hearing it, it's all the same. They are only hearing the sex part of it even if there's none.
And even if you did come out as a sex maniac like you say you didn't that would still be you. So I don't get the connotation you ascribe to it.
I probably said it wrongly but to me the whole lgbtq and yes there's a T in there, is just a small part of what people are.

Sorry about being a bit short with the sex maniac comment. It's just that it's a bit annoying that the 'straight' world has a habit of conflating gender expression with both sexual orientation and sexual appetite.
