This one's tough but whenever i hear Deborah Cox i have to stop and listen. Whitney was captivating, my grandmother played Mahalia all the time they were acquaintances she sang in choir with Mahalia and for Rev. James Cleveland. She's not known. Billie Holiday was someone before my time but loved her voice too

Oh my, quite a list. Ella and Mahalia Jackson are in a class all to themselves. Whitney Houston was my favorite more contemporary singer. Her "I will Always Love You" literally brings me to tears when I hear it.
Whitney for the win. No one else does that to me.

I'm partial to Virginia Rodriguez and also Sarah Vaughn. They both have beautiful voices.
Ella and Billie Holiday are my favorites. But all listed here are pretty amazing.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
I think I'll have to go with Ella simply because I've heard more of her than the others.

Happily, there are many to choose from. But I would select Marian Anderson, the pathbreaking opera star.
AmberDuponte · 31-35, F
I think, of the list and because of both the high and low tones, I'm gonna hit Whitney up.

Beautiful round voice.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@AmberDuponte She had a beautiful voice. ☺

It’s a tough selection but I’ll go with Mahalia Jackson.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@FemSteps I listened to one of her songs when I was 18 years old. This was on a cassette tape. And it hit me hard. ☺
Oh my goodness … love them all 🌹

Whitney , Sade, Janet Jackson and Beverly Knight are my favs tbh 💕😌

Whitney Houston had a remarkable voice but she let drugs destroy it and her life

@MarkPaul 🤔 I don't recognize this one, is she one of those newer country/rap fusion types? I just can't acclimate to it. 😏

Whitney for the win!!
