You have the option of taking it as a compliment - that someone wants to be like you in some way. There's really no way to know where others are coming from and how they're working their lives.
And, by the way, everyone is self-centered in their thinking. It's part of the human condition.

As I have made the move from organized religion to a more nature based belief system the realization that my choices define me. I have “borrowed” from a few faiths in my rituals, made a closer connection with the universe and nature plus adding meditation.
Your friend may be in an “experimental” stage; just finding her way and using you as a guide.

Woah! Sounds like she caught in an influence. Definitely she has chosen this. But you are perceiving things differently. She perceive things as she thinks it's all scenery.
Paganism is definitely not scenery. In our beliefs we perceive it as tantra (word literally translates as mechanism). It'll become worse if we don't understood it rightly.

@DesiDudeJ04 I don't know that I would take paganism so seriously. Yeah, it's a way of life, but it's just a path. I've claimed paganism for over 30 years and I have a very pragmatic view of life and reality, but paganism brings a bit of personal control to myself that I can create my reality. Other than that, I take it as it is.

@FoxyQueen 30 years is a lot and you might have explored enough to bring that level of understanding about paganism. I saw people getting lost over it and now they have nothing but guilts.

My experience was not as involved as yours, but I discovered that younger boys were emulating me when I was a teenager. I was a locally "famous" athlete in our small town, and more than one parent told me to be careful because their sons copied everything I did, even the way I walked. It was scary!

I may have missed this point while reading your post. But it could be, just as it's "newer" to her, that's why she's being gun-ho about it and going all in as she is. Or she is, going to phase you out and become you. I'm sorry then, you had a good run of it. 😐

Yes or reading and presenting my work without providing a citation. That "plagarism" has occured several times. Usually in my presence though. So is that plagarism? I wasnt notified my work would be used as a source\qutation of presented. Nor was i stated as the author. What gives?

Yes. George Clooney has been emulating me for years.
