Could you recommend a good Red Wine for Spaghetti Bolognaise?

I've never actually bought wine before. Sometimes I win a bottle at a Quiz Night or raffle at the local Lawn Bowls club.

"For a classic spaghetti bolognese, a medium-bodied red wine with good acidity is a great pairing. Italian wines like Sangiovese, Chianti, or Barbera are excellent choices due to their fruity and earthy notes that complement the rich, savory flavors of the sauce. Other options include Merlot, Pinot Noir, and even some Spanish wines like Graciano, according to The Fabulous Ladies' Wine Society. "
