Yeah, that's annoying.
Anyway, so it the story starts in 1989 when I was born, and...

Funny you should bring that up .....
I remember what I was in 1st grade when someone said that very same thing to me . I was like yesterday . They were 6 at the time , but very wise and aged . They were the very first person I ever truly respected because they told as they saw it . I wouldn't come across another person with that same mental capacity until ..........
What ?
Why are you making that face ?

I think people feel it's expected to be super-open but IMHO someone's life story isn't what you want to know when in the 'getting to know you' phase of dating.
Maybe you have an empathetic look?
When I was a kid I talked a lot. To anyone and everyone. But by the time I was a teenager i looked more inward.
Skip ahead twenty years…

@Jenny1234 I’ve never been much of a talker. Or chatter. Or texter. Or messenger.
Or writer.
Or lol’er.
Except when something is funny.
I like to laugh. It’s fun.
You like to laugh?
I laugh as much and often as I can.
But enough about me.
What about you? What do you think about me?

@Ghostinthemachine I like to laugh too. I love our chats and I think you’re a really great friend!
@Jenny1234 Wow 🤯
Allelse · 36-40, M
I know what you mean.
exexec · 70-79, C
You must be a good listener. That's a gift.
You have a friendly smile and happy eyes!
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I wish I had people in real life that would just talk to me, lol.
Amyrakunejo · F
A lengthy list of possible explanations, but...maybe you just seem approachable... 🤷🏽♀
beermeplease · M
lol....i think you know my entire life and we've never met 😂
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@beermeplease me too you though!
Thrust · 56-60, M
I get them too. I do my aloof bit which sends them away eventually
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
Probably because you seem like somebody who others feel comfortable opening up to
YoMomma ·
Maybe you seem sympathetic? 😅
Tumbleweed · F
I'm learning to quit using the general phrase "Fine, how are you? " because they will damn sure tell me aaallllll about it. All of it.
Thrust · 56-60, M
Tumbleweed · F
@Thrust Exactly!
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Because your energy is inviting and people sense that you're a good listener.
Ducky · 31-35, F
Yikes! That would get annoying, lol.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
It was a dark and stormy night.
Shybutwilling2bfriends · 61-69
You must be easy to talk to
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Shybutwilling2bfriends I do not know tbh
Wiseacre · F
Surely not everyone🤔
That is because you are dating regular people. If you find yourself a spy, then it will take a lot of work to even find out where they live.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@JamesBugman I’m not dating though. This is people I meet through friends, at work, random strangers etc
@Jenny1234 Maybe approach that guy sitting in the plain looking car with dark sunglasses on. He might be a catch. ;)
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
Either you have a gentle, friendly and trustworthy face or your mind compelled them to do it
geminirising · M
Because we are all innate psychologists with nothing better to do
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
All it takes is eye contact for more than 3 seconds and next thing you know the family albums out
swirlie · 31-35
...because you make eye contact too intensely with everyone you meet.
swirlie · 31-35
@Jenny1234
I know! ...and I don't even know you! But I have learned how to 'work' a crowded room and get what I need in spades before I walk out of there!
The power of your eyes will either blast you through the roof with success... or it will sink you to the sump hole in the basement if your eye contact is managed incorrectly.
Your success with anyone involving anything at all, is wholly dependent on your self-management of eye contact with others at ALL times.
