What the hardest thing you find about making friends as an adult?

Continue of conversation...twice I've given my number to two people in the past few years, but unfortunately they didn't call and I didn't as well. Both were women who were kind, upbeat, etc. very friendly. They both had said let's exchange numbers! Oh well, that's the most social thing I've done in several years.

Im an introvert, bordering on socially awkward and socially anxious. All my favorite friends are paired off and raising families so it’s not like we ever hang out that much. One time I joined a language class just to have someone to talk to since I lived alone. They say you have to “put yourself out there” but where do you go when you’re someone like me?

For me it's finding people who really want to get to know me and not hang out because they want to see what I might do because of my tics and outbursts

Everyone is either working, tired, or emotionally unavailable, and I’m all three at times.

Hard to find that rythem of conversation, or I find it with someone and then it's gone. And I'm also intolerant to relogious people and the politically wrong.

All the best ones seem to live all the way in Australia. 😩🙃

Keeping interesting things to talk about

Maintaining them. It seems to take constant effort or else they drift away
