What the hardest thing you find about making friends as an adult?

Continue of conversation...twice I've given my number to two people in the past few years, but unfortunately they didn't call and I didn't as well. Both were women who were kind, upbeat, etc. very friendly. They both had said let's exchange numbers! Oh well, that's the most social thing I've done in several years.

Im an introvert, bordering on socially awkward and socially anxious. All my favorite friends are paired off and raising families so it’s not like we ever hang out that much. One time I joined a language class just to have someone to talk to since I lived alone. They say you have to “put yourself out there” but where do you go when you’re someone like me?

For me it's finding people who really want to get to know me and not hang out because they want to see what I might do because of my tics and outbursts

Everyone is either working, tired, or emotionally unavailable, and I’m all three at times.

@mindstruggle It seems to me that people are going about this all wrong.. If you set the course you want in life, you will notice people on a similar journey around you. Thats is your friend pool. Of course, you are never going to find them with an app. You actually have to start doing the things you wanted to so.😷

Hard to find that rythem of conversation, or I find it with someone and then it's gone. And I'm also intolerant to relogious people and the politically wrong.

If you are single and your potential friend is married, you will not get an invite to their social event ever.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
Finding people who are real loyal and consistent
Keeping interesting things to talk about
