I'm really conflicted about calling an ambulance rn

I don't have the emotional bandwidth or patience to wait hours in a waiting room before they finally check me but the extent of this infection is something else.

I'm taking everything from antibiotics, ear sprays, throat sprays and pain killers. I keep going to and from high fevers and intense sweating. It's been like this for 4 days. I've had symptoms way longer than that. Probably up to a month. The only thing that's stopped as much is the dizzy spells.

The coughing, pain and shortness of breath is still there, as is the fever and body aches. This infection I'm fighting right now is the most intense shit ever.

I'm gonna wait it out until my antibiotics course is completed before deciding. I feel like I need an inhaler rn at the very least😭

So like usual, I'm late to the party; just seeing this now.

I hope you changed your mind and called the ambulance. You need to insist on being evaluated properly. Those symptoms sound scary.

I hope & pray you are well soon. 🙏
As a fellow enjoyer of the NHS, I get it . I think I'd still try to go in though if my symptoms didn't subside after four days of being medicated. I hope you get through this asap 🫂
God this sounds awful.
Last winter we had RSV go round, it laid heaps of people up for weeks, with a long recovery period.
I hope you start feeling better before the antibiotics are finished.

Could be covid, my first experience with it was like that. I know it’s gonna be a pain but you don’t want to take a chance. Just make sure they have your insurance information because otherwise they’ll ignore that and try to charge you thousands.
@Captainjackass I'm not in the US, I don't need insurance

@HijabaDabbaDoo lucky. Then take advantage of that and go. Yeah it will suck waiting but you can get help.

Doesn’t sound good. You aren’t well when home. Might as well go to ER and let them check you out and see if they need to switch any medications. Don’t brave through it. Be safe and get well
Please fight to be urgently attended. They don't listen a lot of the times

I wouldn’t wait ♥ get checked out

Just saw this post now, are you okay??
Poor thing. It'll pass, try not to panic. Get well soon ❤

Update please, did you go? I hope you did.
Is there any way a friend can bring you something like an inhaler?

Please take care of yourself.
@SinlessOnslaught it's not over the counter. You need to be prescribed one.
@HijabaDabbaDoo I hope you're able to get some rest at least.

Oh mercy! Please don't play around with a fever and breathing difficulties. You really should seek help in the ER before you possibly get septic.

If your lips turn blue, go 😭. Sometimes you can't tell when your blood oxygen levels are dangerously low.

Being in a waiting room sucks. But at least you will be close to medical professionals.

Take everything you can to be comfy enough.

I hope you'll be feeling better soon 💙

I hope you called an ambulance

Why don’t you take yourself to the hospital? Maybe you don’t need the drama of the ambulance routine.
@RedBaron none of what you said is a productive comment in any way shape or form
