@jehova I think I see your point. I regard the Gaia hypothesis rather romantic but not itself religious, as I define a religion as a belief in a super- or supra- natural deity, or set of deities. Gaia does not call for that although it might fit neatly with some religious views.
The President's approach seems simply based on commerce over-riding anything and everything else.
@ArishMell agree but my religious belief is that earth created life. Therefore gaia (god) is earth. Did earth have a creator? Science helps me understand its\our existence. As such for me earth and finding symbiosis is a religious pursuit\is my religion. Earth is super-natural to me so too is science. Does everyones' definition have to be the same? The most human response seems to be, "Hey wanna fight about it!?"
@ArishMell I dont actually wanna fight about it. Good talk. My point is that people tend to resort to violence on this topic. I believe in symbiosis; thus it can and must be a conversation toward balance. Thanks again.
"Gaianism" or "Gaia religion" refers to a philosophical, holistic, and spiritual belief system that views the Earth as a single, self-regulating, living organism, inspired by the Gaia hypothesis, which proposes that life and the environment interact to maintain conditions for life.
