Same. I'm probably going to join a church and a book club. I thought going to the gym would help but I just end up blocking everyone out and try to do my workouts.

@cyberdude28 My faith is rocked too and I have an added variable that keeps me from going. I've gone to a couple of churches where it seems like someone is playing a game with me.

@Lostpoet ahh I see I'm sorry to hear that :/ it isn't always easy dealing with other people

@cyberdude28 Perhaps you'd be better off trying the Society of Friends, the Quakers.

You are, like many of us, an introvert...not a big deal. U can learn to be a bit less introverted by forcing urself to be around ppl, to listen and to watch and learn. It can be done..I did it!

Neither am I, grew up being shy, quiet and reserved. But because of my job, and being in the tourist industry it brought out the best in me.
Found out I like people and interacting with same, as long as its not in the place I call home.
Home is where I rest and recharge.

Imagine all that plus having a physical disability. I'm 31 and I feel that I achieved absolutely nothing and I'm tired of it all.
I wish everything was different. I never asked for this bs people are younger than and they have much more.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether ah I see and thanks best of luck to you too

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether i'm so sorry that you are feeling this way, disability does not automatically equal misery. You have to take control of your own life. I used to supervise group homes, 7 homes, there were 22 disabled people living in those homes total. And some of them were in relationships, several had jobs, even 3 quadriplegic gentleman worked nights for an answering service. So i know for a fact that anyone can achieve happiness.

@AngelUnforgiven I do have a job but I really need to earn more and I need some company as well.

How about joining a rec league for a sport or activity where talking is at a minimum?

Don’t stress about it so much… It’s just having a conversation.

Not everyone socialized naturally..
YoMomma ·
@cyberdude28 depends on who's around and how friendly vs unfriendly they are..
cyberdude28 · 31-35, M
@YoMomma true that but for me sometimes I can't even be around anyone. It's sucks when you feel anxious around people you normally would feel comfortable with.
YoMomma ·
@cyberdude28 yeah i guess that would not be fun..

Believe it or not wife and kids give you drive to make you even more successful

If you can't find happiness living in a world of one, then you need to become an alpha male.
