Why do we use stones for weight?

A stone is 14 pounds or 6.35 Kilograms. I've heard people say their weight is 8 1/2 stones. And I'm like great, now I have to get out a f#cking calculator. Just use normal Weight!

Right?! Standard units of measurements, people! For example, I’m 1.22 Danny Divitos tall, and I weight about 93,000 skittles.

@Zaphod42 You and the writer of this sign would get along.

@Thevy29 Oh I like that better! I’m exactly 1 tiger tall 😂

Hey! Us oldies in the UK still use lbs and stones.....Kilo's are for wimps!

Just sayin'

I know! If you don't want to tell me, just say so. Don't reply with some random numbers instead.

Not to brag but my stones are heavy, too. Not 14 lbs but... hefty nonetheless 😁

Who decided that 14 pounds is a stone and what stone decided it?

That goes for everything that's different from one country to another
