What did teens and young adults do with all their down time before the internet was easily accessible to everybody?

I would say video games , the mall, chat on phone...

We went outside, read books, spent time in person with friends and family etc.

ride bikes, everywhere. talk on the phone, play games...outside. hanging out at each other's houses, talking, watching movies, playing video games. record songs onto a cassette from the radio.

Climbing trees, building dens, making progressively larger stunt ramps for your bike, playing in the woods, chasing girls, street games.

Drink from the hose obsessively

Sex, Drugs, and Rock N' Roll

We had a fairly large lot and a half dozen+ neighborhood kids. Trees, bushes, detached garage. Ideal fr "hide and seek". We played until well after dark. We also built a couple of tree houses and we inherited a big sandbox, left over from a construction project.

Obsessively wait by the radio, waiting for certain songs to play. 😅

watched t.v. Had an old RCA and I think there was like 4-5 channels?
played outside / more outside time
read books
played sports (but not well)
rode my bike
wrote in a notebook for creative writing outet
wrote hand letters as opposed to emails . in cursive
drank alcohol

Ride bikes, walk hand in hand

Played videogames, played a musical instrument, read books, visited various shops like record stores, played sports with their peers, watched TV...there's a lot to do outside of the internet.

Sports. Hung out outside. Go to the beach. Who in their right mind wants to be stuck in the house? Screw the internet. Get outside with friends and live.

Under 16, play golf, ride dirt bikes, drink a lot of beer…

There a million better things to do than hang out in the house.

Hang out, play truth or dare and spin the bottle, go outside and play 😂
