All depends upon context. I'm reminded of an old cartoon of an astronaut standing next to a rocket and saying to a politician, "would you want to ride this thing if you knew all parts were provided by the lowest bidder?" There are times and situation when you want perfection seekers.

Otoh I remember my much older brother saying to me, "You're fortunate. I'm a perfectionist like our father and never satisfied, never get completion. I don't see as much of that in you." Didn't fully understand him until later in life when I realized the key phrase was "as much of that", meaning you should still seek some level of perfection in order to get somewhere; just not be obsessed with it to the point of endless frustration.

I have family that are perfectionists, they always seem miserable as they cannot ever be satisfied with anything, they have to keep going and going and going, never being able to rest and relax.
