Having more positive energies than negative energies around you helps you grow as a person

If you're smart you often learn far more from your failures than your successes... It's ok to fail, it just means you're trying something different

@ABCDEF7 Right. Living in a sugarcoated world and thinking everything is perfect and everyone is nice and shelling from reality won鈥檛 help us grow. It doesn鈥檛 work that way. People with that mindset will be there for a rude awakening. We need difficult times to help us grow.

@ElizabethBabe1994 thanks for the great reply

You're right....there is definitely a time and place for negative thoughts and feelings. Without the negative, we won't have an appreciation for the positive...
It's important to acknowledge such thoughts/feelings....let them serve their purpose, process them and then let them go. Hanging on to them (and even feeding them) is where we tend to do ourselves harm.

Happy New Year 馃槉

@ImpeccablyImperfect that was beautiful!

I agree. I can鈥檛 stand the always AND overly positive.

Management by cheerleading I call it. No effort at self-awareness, personal accountability, constructive criticism. Just continue in a state of denial but slap a Smiley emoji on it.
atlantic5961-69, M
@dancingtongue I wish you hadn't retired from HR
dancingtongue80-89, M
@atlantic59 Wasn't in HR, but worked closely with them. I was in PR, which many people confuse with Marketing. True PR is about finding common grounds -- and improving communication between -- an employer the various communities it interacts with, including its employees and unions. It often means talking truth to executive management about how they and their policies are perceived because they tend to be isolated from reality.

Indeed.
We grow more from facing reality than trying to avoid authentic human emotions/experience, with sugary delusion. <<< That just keeps people in a bubble of pretense.

Interesting thought, I agree with you 馃榿

i disagree, more positivity is needed especially in the times we are living in
ElizabethBabe199426-30, F
@Hanginginthere yeah you do have a point. I鈥檓 just saying overly positive seems fake. That鈥檚 all I鈥檓 saying
Hanginginthere31-35, M
@ElizabethBabe1994 depends on the tone of the conversation usually, i cant relate though because im blunt and it doesnt come off as nice half the time
MethDozerM
