sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right

Matt85 · 36-40, M
they say that sometimes
like it's gonna get worse before it can get better
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Matt85 What if it doesn't get better? Usually it gets worse.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@sree251 Bring it before God. Just remember to have love in your heart.

Like my middle niece being so sick her mom (my sister) and doctor suspected meningitis tonight?
It isn't, thank God, Satan, Thor, Loki, Odin, Poseidon, Zeus etc...

But my sister and I had the same scary thought:
If my nieces were with their dad these days, he wouldn't even notice something was wrong.
The fLIcker couldn't even be arsed to put medicinal cream on his eldest when she had a nasty rash. Not once, the 4 weeks they stayed with him (he's a sailor and has them the 4 weeks he's off work)

My sister has once again found the strength to fight him. She never really gave up, don't get me wrong, she just didn't have the money for it. Both the dad and his parents are rich, so naturally they won last time 🤬
Some things that seem right on a small scale can turn out to be seriously damaging long term or on a large scale. I'm sure all of us could think of many examples.

Sometimes we are unable to predict the consequences until we see or experience them and work out the chain of cause and effect; only then can we figure out the right prevention or solution, or begin to experiment and develop solutions.

@hartfire Can you cite an example?

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved."

Gotta learn and move on. Lifes not all wins, just hopefully more wins than losses.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Thespis If it is possible to move on.

It’s like what they say when you’re at rock bottom the only way left is up.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Dethmoore If rock bottom doesn't do you in first.
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
Indeed, I thought that when I started to learn how to wear trousers. I think I have it now.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
They don’t have to, but it seems to always work out that way.
Things always seem to get worse before they get better.
Ferric67 · M
It certainly feels that way, doesn't it
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Ferric67 Are you feeling it now?
justlooking2023 · 56-60, M
Like a rock bottom?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@justlooking2023 Rock bottom is everybody's fear.
ShadowWorker · 61-69, F
Yup...that's learning the hard way too.
chillout17 · M
