It's too awkward, i can't cope. He's been rebuffed & i could vomit. He has a "dull ache in his groan."

"Her taco really smelled like Mexican seasonings. His stomach growling like an anemic Chihuahua waiting for his next meal. The room was thick with humidity, and a sheen began to form over her Gazongas. An image of two milk jugs glistening in condensation appears in his mind, the growling increases, she looks down I to his eyes "well, IT IS TUESDAY "...
@reubles my TBR has a lot to answer for.

The Witcher 😑 I never got past the beginning.

Also Neuromancer left nasty aftertaste... Who wants to read sexual fantasies from the point of a view of a man? 🤢
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Carissimi I can't judge because my sexuality is odd in general but I believe that the least anybody can do is to leave that stuff for separate erotica genre. Is it so hard to not spoil a good book with someone's subjective detailed sexual fantasies? Are men okay with reading about detailed gay sex scenes? I doubt so.

If you read a romance novel, or watch an x-rated movie because it has some steamy scenes then it’s up to personal choice, but if you think you are reading, or watching something that’s not advertised as such, then that’s not right, and it does spoil it for you. Where the Witcher and the Neuromancer like this? I never watched past the first episode of the first because I thought it may be too violent, and I never heard of Neuromancer. @CrazyMusicLover

@Carissimi I'm not sure if it was a sex scene or some man fantasizing about some woman sexually but it was right on the first pages of The Witcher. It's the very beginning, that's why I have no idea what it all is about. I was put off right off the bat and unmotivated to read anything further. If I was going to read a book aware it contains these scenes because they are relevant for the story then I wouldn't mind but I was in a mood for completely different themes.

I don’t mind if it’s tastefully done, and ends up in a love match, but not graphic or vulgar descriptions that are pure sex with no emotional connection, or developing the relationship. These days, I skip many of the sex scenes in romance novels, and get back to the background story, which can be really good.

I have eclectic preferences in reading material. From classics to adventure, Sci-Fi, to romance and biographies, and history. I usually have a season of one of these based on my mental and emotional state. If I’m lonely or feeling like I need a pick me up, I’ll go for light, romantic reading that’s has a happy ending, but it has to also be an intelligent read with a good background story, usually with some historical accuracy. Ive been reading Juliann Maclean lately, and she’s a very good writer, but these later novels are so full of loss, it’s depressing. Now, I’ve gone to something lighter with a really good story. @SevenTierCrazyCake
@Carissimi I'll look her up

She’s written a lot of historical romance novels, but her more recent ones have been about life, loss, and finding love again. Still, even though love is found again, its a bit too close to home for my sensibilities right now. I don’t recall any sex, more than kissing, in the recent ones, and like I said, she’s a good writer. @SevenTierCrazyCake
