I rescued a butterfly from a spider's web. One of its wings was a little bit damaged but it could still fly. 😊 I felt like karma reacted immediately as it stayed for a moment on my leg, stretching its wings and regaining some energy before it flew away.
@TinFoilHat I tried to rescue an ant from a spider once, when I was like 6 years old. I was too late, though. The ant had been bitten. It just stumbled around and died as I watched.
I forget who it was, probably Darwin or Gould, who said that god must be inordinately fond of beetles. There are so many kinds and colors and sizes it's dizzying.
She may’ve already had that experience. Nowadays most people I know no longer feel the need to kill an insect just for existing, especially if it’s not in their house. 🥺
People like that need to read an HP Lovecraft book 😒

Often I have picked up a worm wriggling in the middle of a pavement on a hot day, chucked it into a nice moist garden. Who knows how soon a bird will swoop and have a meal anyway......😀
We are our karma. How we think, feel, respond, receive. We are what we understand.
@CrazyMusicLover Incorrect. The strawberries I’ve eaten this summer have all come from my own garden. But crushing a beetle in a railway station isn’t linked.
@Castenmas As I said, depends on what kind of a bug it is. I personally don't know about any particular species that would ruin strawberries but anybody who ever grew potatoes don't tend to tiptoe around potato bugs if they see one.
