What was the hourly wage of your first job?

And what was the job?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
My first job was delivering newspapers when I was 11 in 1961. I worked about 2 hours a day 7 days a week and all day on Saturday collecting. I made about $5 to $6 dollars a week. I began working as a musician when I was 15 and usually got about $10 to $20 for a three hour gig. The first time I was paid hourly I was 27, working in a restaurant kitchen at minimum wage, about $2 an hour in 1977.

@hunkalove They paid me $18 an hour to unload fishing trawlers, I was 14. So I may have been older then you...
It took 6 hours to unload 1 trawler. And if 2 came in on the same day. That was a long day. But at least it was only 1 day a week.
